Seoul, South Korea

The Land of the Morning Calm

“You lose sight of things but when one day, you’ll be at the place you always wanted to see, everything balances out”

Oprah Winfrey used to say, “The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams”. Questions like, how can we lay our dreams into reality and adventure?  I believe it is very important to set life’s destination, from ground zero to paramount, open our minds to new things and get to experience life in exiting different ways. And that’s how I did, months before this globe-trot to the Land of the Morning Calm.

Why it is called “The Land of the Morning Calm”? According to Wikipedia, in 1934 A.D., an emperor of the Ming Dynasty of China, the Celestial Empire of the East gave Korea the title of “Chaohsien” meaning, “morning freshness”. The title was most suited to South Korea because of its spellbinding natural beauty of picturesque high mountains and clear waters and its splendid tranquility, particularly in the morning which further confirmed the title on South Korea as the “Land of the Morning Clam”.

South Korea, an exceptionally panorama of experiences, from its highly developing economy, modern skyscrapers and leading-edge shopping centers to their rich culture and clinches of best tourist havens, making them the most exciting, talk-about (every Filipino dream) travel destination on the pacific.

Flying into the capital Seoul, a dynamic fast-paced metropolitan city dash with a great balance of old and new society, overwhelming shanty towns, wide arrays of retail traditional shops and restaurants choices, and side by side with high street and luxury brands, the city is indeed a great place to visit.
