It
is a common saying that travel broadens
the mind, you can get to know other cultures, and you can meet many
different people. Ever since I was this innocent little kid I dreamed about
traveling to places, and new living have always fascinated me. I’ve always
wondered what it would be like to speak another language, to grow up learning
different customs, or to live in a completely different way than I do now. My wings are already existing, all I have
to do is to fly. Days passed by, years gone by, those dreams are slowly
getting real. And suddenly, these exciting experiences were at the end of my
fingertips.
The
long unvarying hours at the plane end as I walked down the airplane and the
cool South Korean breeze hit me for the very first time like strapping whiff of
eau de toilette from the Zara store.
Seoul,
every teenage dream. The very famous N’Seoul Tower, the historic Gyeongbogkung
Palace, the Cheonggyecheon Stream, their KTX (Train to Busan fever) and Subway
Transpo, Nami Island, the Myeongdong Center, Gangnam Road, and the breezy Han
River Cruise Tour, etc. There is nothing
quite like traveling, like seeing a new place (or a favorite place) for the
first time.

Travel as much
as you can, as far as you can, as long as you can. Island hopping, snorkeling,
camping, good views, and wide array of white and gold sand beaches, the emerald
green beaches of Jomalig Island is a
perfect example of islands in an island. But behind its magnificent views are
stories of local people who struggles for a living, its heart melting (I almost
cry, goose bumps). Like they are always saying, “You will never really understand the true
meaning of your life until you travel and experience how others are living
theirs”. What you get by reaching your destination isn’t really important
as what you get by reaching that destination.
When was the last time you
did something for the very frist time? Hiking and sightseeing, and how about
viewing mountains on top of a mountain. Up in the clouds at about 7402 ft. above
sea level. Mt. Sto. Tomas Summit,
is by how the most adventurous thing I’ve ever experienced, I didn’t get a buck
after hike but surely nothing can beat the view up there.
Don’t listen to what they say, go and see.
Batangas boast with blue waters and fine sand beaches. Masasa
Beach in Isla Tingloy was my very first island tour. It was a “life begins
at the end of your comfort zone” sail, a D.I.Y (Do it yourself) travel.
You lose sight of things, but when one day you’ll be at the
place you wanted to be, everything balances out.
Who can’t resist the Balinese-like resort in Antipolo, Rizal? Luljetta’s Hanging Garden and Spa is
way unique than other resorts in town, showcasing different kinds of pool, the
organic menus and sauna, signature massages, the tickling Dr. Fish Spa and the
sought after Infinity Pool that brings you closer to Indonesia.
In traveling, it gives us respite from our dull
and dreary routine. It relieves us of worries. Benguet’s BenCab (Benedicto Cabrera)Museum and Café Sabel gives you an
authentic old Baguio vibe, feeding you some of the best views as art, nature,
and dining comes together.
I wanna travel the world, go to every country,
to every city, take pictures and be happy. I know it’s still a long way drive
to reach those dreams, but I know they are dreams, and they are meant to be
chase.
Once you traveled, the voyage never ends. The mind can never
break off from the journey
